Gable Top Mechanics

The gable top is formed by two sets of panels: the main gable panels that create the peaked roof shape, and the inner liner panels that lock inside the main panels to create the sealed closure. The gable handle is formed at the peak where the two main panels meet — this ridge is reinforced by the locked liner panels and is strong enough to support the box's filled weight as a carrying handle. Standard gable boxes carry loads of 500g–2kg depending on board weight and box size.
