Custom Candle Boxes in New Bedford, MA
New Bedford is the Whaling City — once the richest city in America on the strength of the whaling industry, and today home to the most valuable fishing port on the East Coast of the United States, with a commercial fishing fleet that lands hundreds of millions of dollars in seafood annually. The city's extraordinary arts community, a nationally recognized folk art tradition, and a growing creative economy in the historic downtown add cultural depth to New Bedford's maritime commercial character. Candle Boxes for Candles & Home Fragrance in New Bedford
Candle boxes serve the home fragrance category's most design-intensive retail packaging segment. The candle box must communicate the fragrance character through visual and tactile cues before the scent can be experienced at retail. Candle packaging is among the most design-competitive consumer goods categories because candles are purchased significantly for their packaging aesthetics.
Fragrance Communication Through Design
Candle fragrance packaging uses botanical illustration of key fragrance ingredients, color palettes referencing the fragrance character, and descriptive fragrance notes language (top note, heart note, base note) that communicates the composition to educated fragrance consumers.
Safety Warning Requirements
CPSC and National Candle Association guidelines require specific warning labels on candle packaging: Never leave burning candle unattended, Keep away from children and pets, Keep away from flammable materials, and Stop use when 1/2 inch of wax remains. ASTM F2326 standard for container candles specifies additional labeling requirements.
Candle Safety Warning Requirements
CPSC and NCA require specific warning labels on candle packaging including never leave burning candle unattended, keep out of reach of children and pets, keep away from flammable materials, and stop use when 1/2 inch of wax remains. ASTM F2326 standard for container and pillar candles specifies additional labeling. These warnings must appear on both the candle container and the outer packaging.
Luxury Candle Brand Packaging Premium Positioning
Premium candle brands at $30-$100+ use packaging quality to communicate the sensory investment their price points represent. Jo Malone's cream and black packaging, Diptyque's oval label aesthetic -- these packaging systems create immediate premium recognition. For luxury candle brands, packaging investment is a commercial prerequisite for premium retail channel placement and premium pricing.

Candle Boxes in New Bedford — FAQs
What CPSC warnings are required on candle packaging?
Required candle warning labels include: Never leave burning candle unattended, Keep out of reach of children and pets, Do not burn on or near anything that can catch fire, Keep candle free of debris, Place on stable heat-resistant surface, Keep wick trimmed to 1/4 inch, and Stop use when 1/2 inch of wax remains. ASTM F2326 specifies required warnings for container candles specifically.
What candle box dimensions are standard?
Standard candle box dimensions: small jar 4oz (approximately 80x80x90mm exterior), medium jar 8oz (90x90x110mm), large jar 12oz (100x100x120mm), and pillar candle 3x6 inch (90x90x170mm). Box dimensions provide adequate clearance for the candle with tissue paper inside.
What finishing communicates luxury candle positioning?
Luxury candle box finishing: soft-touch matte lamination, gold or copper foil stamp on brand mark, embossed texture pattern, and spot UV on design elements. This combination communicates the quality tier that premium candle pricing requires.
Can candle boxes include a window to show the candle?
Yes. Window boxes displaying the candle allow consumers to see the candle's color and wax texture before purchase. Window placement on the front panel showing the candle from above is most effective for communicating wax color quality and multi-wick configuration.
What is the minimum order for custom candle boxes?
Our minimum order is 100 units for custom candle boxes. Luxury candle brand packaging programs typically run 250-500 units per fragrance variant label.
