Cupcake boxes are engineered around the frosting swirl -- the most fragile and visually important element of a cupcake, whose integrity determines whether the product arrives presentable or damaged. Standard boxes adapted from other packaging formats fail this requirement because they do not account for the frosting's height above the liner rim or the need to secure each cupcake independently to prevent lateral movement during transit. Holder Insert Engineering

The cupcake holder insert -- the die-cut tray with individual circular cavities that cradle each cupcake at the liner rim -- is the critical functional element of cupcake packaging. Cavity diameter must match the cupcake liner's rim diameter (typically 57mm for standard liners) to provide snug support without squeezing the cake. Cavity depth must position the cupcake at the correct height relative to the box interior -- frosting clearing the box lid with 8-10mm minimum clearance when the lid is closed. We calibrate holder dimensions to the specific liner size and frosting height provided by the bakery.

Multi-Count and Window Configurations

Cupcake boxes are available in 1, 2, 4, 6, 12, and 24 count configurations with holder inserts sized to each count's layout. Window lid configurations -- clear PET film replacing the paperboard lid -- display the frosting decorations before opening, allowing the bakery's decoration skill to sell without staff intervention at the retail counter or at the recipient's doorstep.
