The Difference Between STE and RTE Folding Cartons
Straight tuck end (STE) cartons have both the top dust flaps and bottom dust flaps tucking in the same direction — toward the back panel. This is the most common retail carton because it presents the largest uninterrupted print panel facing the consumer. Reverse tuck end (RTE) cartons have the top tucking to the back and the bottom tucking to the front, which works better on high-speed auto-packing lines where the product is inserted from the top and the bottom must lock consistently.
